Yoga by SHY Spring Offerings

Self-Love Sundays:

Restorative Yoga - This gentle, meditative yoga practice allows us to experience deep states of relaxation through gentle, simple movements and fully supported and comfortable poses. You will be guided through many mindfulness and breath-based practices along the way, allowing the nervous system to settle into its most restful state, inviting deep rest, healing and rejuvenation. All levels of experience are welcome.

Somatic Experiencing Circle - Share in the transformative power of Somatic Experiencing in this intimate one-hour small group circle. Through gentle movement, breath work and sharing, you’ll learn to tune into your body’s signals and access new levels of self-awareness and emotional resilience. Reiki will be incorporated near the end and you can enjoy the support of a small, welcoming group. All levels of experience are welcome.

Mindful Mondays:

Hatha Yoga - All yoga is local because we practice from within our own body, breath and awareness. We use gravity, space and movement to anchor us here in the present, noticing where we need to gather stability and where we need soften and allow.

We will explore traditional yoga postures through a functional, contemporary lens while cultivating a deeper sense of present moment awareness and embodiment. We will open to the novel and the familiar, meeting ourselves in every moment on the mat.

Yoga Nidra - Yoga nidra is both entirely accessible and deeply nourishing, requiring us to simply lie down and listen. We will be gently invited to quiet the mind through calming the breath, while cultivating a felt sense of deep presence within our physical being. By anchoring ourselves in the present moment we will allow room to expand, releasing layers of holding, while increasing our capacity for creativity, clarity and peace.

Therapeutic Thursdays:

Yin Yoga - The practice of Yin is to find a place of resistance, your edge in each pose. Yin will focus not only on key muscles but compressing, twisting and stretching tissues. Each class will focus on either hips, shoulders, spine, legs, arms, meridian lines etc. This is a great class for those who are constantly practicing high intensity or anyone looking for a mellow class to unwind.

Private Practice

First timers include a free consultation with our in-house Yogis. You will be asked some basic questions about your daily life and cater a practice specifically for YOU. This ain’t no ordinary yoga class it’s quite EXTRAORDINARY!
